Philippe Ben-Abdallah is a Research Director at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and leads the “Thermoplasmonics” team at the Laboratoire Charles Fabry, Institut d'Optique, in Palaiseau, France. His research focuses on nanophysics, nanoscale heat transfer, near-field heat transfer, nanophotonics, plasmonics, fluctuational electrodynamics, many-body physics, and sustainable and renewable energy. Philippe Ben-Abdallah completed his PhD in 1997 at the École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique in France. Following his doctorate, he was a post-doctoral fellow at Quebec University in Canada from 1998 to 2000. In recognition of his contributions to scientific research, he was awarded the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2009. With a strong publication record, Philippe Ben-Abdallah has authored or co-authored approximately 170 publications, including 2 book chapters, 118 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and 52 proceeding papers. He has also presented at 38 invited conferences and holds 3 patents. His work continues to advance the understanding of nanoscale phenomena and their applications in sustainable technologies.
