Dr. Nuo Yang is a Professor at the College of Science, National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), P. R. China. His research focuses on fundamental and applied studies in the field of phonon engineering, covering areas such as nanoscale thermal transport, chip thermal management, energy conversion and utilization, and machine learning applications.
Dr. Yang is recognized as one of Elsevier's Highly Cited Chinese Scholars and the Top 2% cited global scientists (Career & Single year) by Stanford University's & Elsevier. He has served as a visiting scholar under the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellowship program, awarded to approximately one-third of global applicants each year. He is a member of the Youth Working Group of the Chinese Physical Society, a youth editorial board member for the Chinese Physics Letter, Chinese Physics, Acta Physica Sinica, and Physics (Chinese) of the Chinese Physical Society, and an Associate Editor for ES Materials & Manufacturing. Dr. Yang has received several honors, including the Distinguished Professor title under the "Chutian Scholar" program in 2015, the Shanghai "Pujiang Talent" award in 2013, and recognition as a China Author Highlight by AIP Advances in 2012. In 2009, he was awarded Chinese Ministry of Education's "National Excellent Self-Funded Students Abroad" Scholarship.
He has led research projects funded by the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Huawei Technologies, among others. To date, Dr. Yang has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers as a corresponding or first author, which have garnered more than 4,000 citations, resulting in an H-index of 49.
