Prof. Yancheng Wang received his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Zhejiang University in 2011. Before joining Zhejiang University, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan. His research interests include robotic sensing, tactile sensing, and additive manufacturing technologies. He has published more than 120 journal papers and over 40 peer-reviewed conference papers, authorized over 60 invention patents. Among his research accomplishments are nine best paper awards from ASME Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC), IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA/ICAL), Micromachines, International Conference on Frontiers of Design and Manufacturing (ICFDM), International Conference on Wearable Sensors and Robots (ICWSR), KSMTE International Conference of Manufacturing Technology Engineers (ICMTE). In 2018, he was awarded as SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers.
