Dawei Zhang is a professor at University of Science and Technology Beijing. He serves as Director of Office of International Affairs of USTB, Deputy Director of National Materials Corrosion and Protection Data Center and Associate Director of Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Materials Genome Engineering. He is and elected Fellow of Association for Materials Protection and Performance and also the Chair of its International Advisory Council. His research interests are intelligent materials and technologies for corrosion control (e.g. smart protective coatings, microbial corrosion, and AI-driven corrosion research). He has published over 200 papers with 14,000 citations and an h-index of 64. He is an Editor of Corrosion Science, and editorial board member of 10 peer-reviewed journals.
