Giuliano Benenti is a full professor of theoretical condensed matter physics at the University of Insubria, Como campus. He received his PhD in physics from the University of Milan in 1998 and was a postdoctoral researcher at the CEA in Saclay (1998–2000). His main research interests include thermal and thermoelectric transport, quantum thermodynamics, open quantum systems, quantum computation and information, as well as nonlinear and complex systems. He has authored more than 170 scientific publications, including 20 in Phys. Rev. Lett., review articles on thermoelectric rectification (Lecture Notes in Physics 921, 2016), nanoscale thermoelectric conversion (Phys. Rep., 2017), and anomalous thermal transport (Riv. Nuovo Cim., 2023), as well as a textbook on Principles of Quantum Computation and Information (second edition in 2019).
