Special Issue Information

G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) play a pivotal role in understanding the behavior of membrane proteins. These proteins are ubiquitous across plasma membranes in various cell types. As one of the largest gene families in human and mammalian genomes, GPCRs include type-A olfactory receptors, which are critical for interactions with pharmaceutical products. However, the inherent properties of these proteins make them challenging to express and purify. Consequently, computational methodologies are often employed to study their behavior, typically starting with computationally derived GPCR structures.

This Special Issue aims to compile and disseminate significant research papers, innovative ideas, and comprehensive reviews on the computational biology of GPCRs. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

● Structural studies of GPCRs.
● Analysis of protein-ligand complexes.
● Investigations of static and dynamic interactions, including molecular dynamics simulations.
● Novel approaches to drug design targeting GPCRs.

We invite contributions that advance our understanding of GPCRs through computational techniques and provide new perspectives on their structural and functional dynamics.
