Prof. Wang is a scholar, researcher and educator in building technology and construction project management, with an excellent record in industry-oriented research and teaching. Her major research area is using digital technologies to improve the productivity, environmental and social sustainability of the construction industry. More specifically, she utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Twin, Laser Scanning technologies, and Machine Learning and AI in construction information management, decision making support, construction quality control, and reducing carbon emissions, as well as addressing the social sustainability issues including construction health and safety, and women in construction. Prof. Wang obtained multiple highly competitive large research grants, including one ARC (Australian Research Council) research hub and one ARC research training centre, and one large Australian government community grant. Her contribution to research and construction industry have been recognised by industry professional bodies including AIB (Australian Institute of Building) and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) with award winning projects.
