26 FOS Editors Named in Stanford–Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists List
We are proud to share that in the recently released 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists List by Stanford University and Elsevier, 26 members of the Ferroptosis and Oxidative Stress (FOS) Editorial Board have been selected for the Single-Year Impact list (84% of the Board), while 18 members have been recognized in the Career-Long Impact list (58% of the Board).
On September 19, 2025, Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier officially released the global ranking. The list is based on citation data from the Scopus database and evaluated by six core indicators, including total citations, Hirsch H-index, Schreiber Hm-index (co-authorship adjusted), and citation counts for single-authored and first/last/corresponding-authored papers. The ranking is divided into two categories:
• Career-Long Impact (overall scientific influence across a scholar’s career)
• Single-Year Impact (scientific influence during 2024)
Covering nearly 7 million scientists worldwide, the evaluation spans 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, providing an objective benchmark for both long-term academic achievement and annual research performance.
This outstanding recognition highlights the remarkable research contributions and global leadership of our editors in advancing ferroptosis, oxidative stress, and related biomedical sciences. Their inclusion reflects both the strength of the FOS editorial team and the journal’s commitment to excellence in publishing high-impact research.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all Editors who have been named in the 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists list, and express our heartfelt gratitude for your exceptional contributions to the advancement of science!
