Dr. Jian-Hua Jiang is a professor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) since 2023. He earned his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from USTC during 2000 and 2010. Afterwards, he conducted postdoctoral research first at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and later at the University of Toronto in Canada. In 2015, he became a professor of physics at Soochow University and received the National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund in 2021. His research focuses on materials physics and statistical physics, particularly on the study of novel topological phenomena in room-temperature photon and phonon systems. He has made significant contributions in the discovery of novel topological effects such as the bulk-defect correspondence, higher-order topological states, and non-Abelian topological states.
Professor Jiang has received numerous awards and prestigious funding, including the Jiangsu Distinguished Professor and the National Key R&D Program of China.
