Aims and Scope

Chiral Chemistry is an international, open-access quarterly journal dedicated to publication and dissemination of high-impact, original, and leading research in the field of chiral chemistry and technologies. The journal provides a platform for pioneering theoretical, experimental, and applied studies, promoting fundamental understanding, advancements, and applied innovations across a broad range of scientific and industrial applications.

The scope of the journal includes, not limited to, the following areas:

1. The synthesis, preparation, separation, identification, analysis, and application of chiral substances, including:
   Chiral molecules
   Chiral metal complexes
   Chiral catalysts
   Chiral pharmaceuticals and chiral agrochemicals
Chiral biological molecules and chiral biomaterials
   Chiral supramolecules and materials
2. Asymmetric synthesis of chiral substances in all scales
3. Asymmetric catalysis using homogeneous catalysts (organocatalysts, metal catalysts, and biocatalysts) and heterogeneous catalysts.
4. New technologies toward efficient construction of chiral substances (such as biomimetic synthesis, big data, and AI)
5. Transformative technologies in scalable production of chiral functional molecules and materials
6. Control of chirality and selectivity in asymmetric synthetic processes
7. Structure-activity relationship of chiral substances in all scales (small molecules, macromolecules, assemblies, aggregates, and materials)
8. New characterization methods for chiral substances in all scales
9. Integration of chemistry, physics, biology, and material for advancement of chiral science as an interdisciplinary science

The journal publishes the following types of articles:

• Research Articles: Full-length articles (6-8 pages) presenting original, high-impact research.
• Reviews: In-depth (12+ pages) reviews providing a critical summary of a themed topic, ranging from its historical background to current developments and potential future applications.
• Perspectives: A perspective article provides an author's viewpoint or interpretation on a particular topic or issue.
• Communications: Short (4 pages) articles presenting rapid breakthroughs or innovative findings with significant implications.
• Highlights: A section (2-4 pages) dedicated to the rapid dissemination of important breakthroughs, trends, and emerging topics. This section provides timely overviews of developments in the field and expert perspectives on their impact.
• Comments and Replies: Discussions that engage previously published research or raise important questions, providing a platform for scientific dialogue within the community.

By applying a rigorous review process, Chiral Chemistry ensures that only the most innovative and impactful research is published, facilitating the rapid exchange of ideas and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across the chiral chemistry communities. The following aspects are considered during the review process.

• Significance and Impact: Novel and important advancements within the scope of chiral chemistry with significant implications for the scientific or industrial communities.
• Originality: Articles offering novel and fresh concepts, insights, methods, or applications that push boundaries in chiral chemistry and related technologies.
• Readability and Broader Interest: Well-written, accessible studies that engage both specialists and interdisciplinary researchers.
