Ahmed AZOUGH obtained his Master's degree in Information Systems and Image Processing from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University in 2010. In 2021, he obtained his Habilitation to Direct Research from the University of Fez, and in 2024, he obtained the qualification of Full Professor from the French Ministry of Higher Education. Currently, Ahmed AZOUGH is an Associate Professor at DeVinci Engineering School in Paris, where he also holds the position of Program Director for the MSc in Computer Science | Data Science and is co-founder of the De Vinci VR-Lab. His professional career includes 3 years as a research engineer at France Telecom R&D (Paris), 1 year as an assistant professor at the University of Lyon, 5 years as a researcher at Genomic Vision (Paris), and 5 years as an associate professor at the University of Fez. Specialized in immersive technologies, computer vision and database modeling, Ahmed AZOUGH also teaches Virtual and Augmented Reality, Agile Software Engineering and Advanced NoSQL Database. He has also supervised more than 25 Master's and Ph.D. theses. With more than 30 research papers and book chapters and an international patent on distributed video surveillance, he has made significant contributions to his field. Dr. Azough Ahmed was awarded the first prize of Educational and Academic Innovation in 2023 by the Pole Léonard de Vinci for the project VRLab - Immersive Technologies.
