Bio:
Simon Hoermann is an Associate Professor in Applied Immersive Game Design at the School of Product Design (University of Canterbury, New Zealand). He researches transformational computing, focusing on health and learning applications. Dr Hoermann holds a BSc and MSc degree from the University of Bozen (Italy) and a PhD from the University of Otago (New Zealand). Previously, he held research positions in the HIT Lab NZ (University of Canterbury), the Positive Computing Laboratory (The University of Sydney, Australia), and the Departments of Medicine and Information Science (University of Otago).
