Founding Editor-in-Chief


Professor Xingwei Li

The founding Editor-in-Chief of Chiral Chemistry is Professor Xingwei Li from Shaanxi Normal University, China. Professor Li is a distinguished researcher in the field of chiral functional molecules and asymmetric catalysis. He is a recipient of numerous prestigious accolades, including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation for Middle-aged and Young Scientists, and National High-Level Talent.

Professor Li's research focuses on organic synthetic methodology, C-H bond activation, and asymmetric catalysis. His team pioneered the study of high-valent rhodium-catalyzed C–H activation in China, developing novel substrate activation strategies that overcome the limitations of low metal-carbon bond reactivity in traditional C–H activation systems. His work has led to the first realization of high-valent iodination, alkynylation, oxygen atom transfer, hydrogen atom transfer, and cycloaddition reactions via C–H activation mechanisms. He has published over 220 SCI papers in top-tier journals.

With his academic expertise and leadership, Chiral Chemistry is positioned to become a high-quality, internationally recognized journal in the field of chiral science.
