Science Exploration Press completed the acquisition of the journals Ageing and Cancer Research & Treatment, Journal of Building Design and Environment, and BME Horizon, along with the related data migration.

Science Exploration Press officially joined Portico for the permanent archiving of all published content.

The new journal Empathic Computing was officially launched, with Professor Mark Billinghurst from the University of South Australia (Australia) serving as the founding Editor-in-Chief.

The new journal Smart Materials and Devices was officially launched, with Professors Zhong-Yong Yuan from Nankai University (China), Craig E. Banks from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), and Weihua Li from the University of Wollongong (Australia) serving as the founding Editors-in-Chief.
