Light Manipulation and Applications, with Professor Yangjian Cai as its Founding Editor-in-Chief, Has Officially Been Launched
We are delighted to announce the official launch of Light Manipulation and Applications (LMA), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to providing a comprehensive platform that covers fundamental, applied, scientific, and engineering advancements related to the manipulation and application of light. We are honored to welcome Professor Yangjian Cai as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of LMA
Professor Yangjian Cai
Professor Yangjian Cai is Vice President of Shandong Normal University, a Full Professor, and a Ph.D. supervisor. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China and a Fellow of Optica (formerly the Optical Society of America, OSA).
Prof. Cai's research interests include light field manipulation and its applications, beam propagation and control, optical imaging, atmospheric optics, and micro/nano optical manipulation. He has published over 300 SCI-indexed papers (in Q2 journals or higher), with total citations exceeding 20,000. He has been consistently listed among Elsevier’s “Most Cited Chinese Researchers” and Stanford University’s “Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide.”
LMA is committed to advancing research in optics and photonics by serving as a valuable platform for transformative research in light field structuring and its broad applications. The journal welcomes high-impact studies across a range of topics, including optical physics, structured light, nonlinear and quantum optics, and advanced nanophotonic platforms.
To support early contributions and foster global collaboration, LMA is currently waiving all article processing charges (APCs). We warmly invite researchers to submit their innovative work and help shape the future of light manipulation.
